Neak Oknha Kuon Thida attended the inauguration ceremony of the “Women’s Economic Development and Entrepreneurship Center (WEDEC).”
On the morning of December 3, 2025, Neak Oknha Kuon Thida, Chairwoman of STSK Investment Group and Vice President of the Cambodian Oknha Association, attended the inauguration ceremony of the “Women’s Economic Development and Entrepreneurship Center (WEDEC)” under the presidency of Her Excellency Dr. Pech Chanmon Hun Manet, located in Sangkat Sra Chak, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
The center was established with the aim of developing entrepreneurship and increasing women’s participation in the economic sector by focusing on four main functions:
1. Developing women’s economic capabilities,
2. Supporting programs to start and develop women’s entrepreneurship,
3. Promoting research and innovation,
4. Expanding networks and connecting product/service markets locally, regionally, and globally.
Neak Oknha Kuon Thida’s participation demonstrates her commitment to promoting gender equality, in line with the policies of the Royal Government of Cambodia, 7th term, under the Pentagon Strategy, Phase 1. The policy also prioritizes promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment, recognizing that “women are the backbone of the national economy and society.”
